I am done explaining to some Americans we do not need to be educated about US politics and how projecting their national wilful ignorance onto Canadians and other countries is insulting and arrogant.
A lifetime of tolerating that attitude.
Done.
Last night tested the limits of my patience.
Blocking for my peace of mind

Majority of Canadians need to accept the fact they ate the propaganda, and going further, that our government willfully allowed it.. why, cause it was the neighborly and profitable things to do.
Now the fox is threatening the hen house, and everyone is losing their minds.

You said it better than I could hope to. Thank you.
Taking time to contemplate our priorities seems to be tossed by the side of the road; preserving our democracy it seems is no longer important.
It's too easy to spend our day busy with activities, work, and then relax in front of a screen filling us with mind-numbing trivial nonsense on TV which are usually American tv shows and movies.
We have been lulled into empty headedness and inaction by the illusion our comfortable place in the world of democracy is an impenetrable fortress.
Canadians need to wake up or we will be in the same mess as the US. Our rights and privileges will be lost.

But, not doing so, can come at cost of relationships, jobs and other aspects. So we must temper ourselves in situations.
I've been admittedly anti-American since I was a youth, but was disregarded as some kind of angst stage... It wasn't. Irony of it all, I learned to be anti-American from "American" hardcore music (80s).

Indeed falling in line is a massive cheat.
I know from experience what can happen when we stand up for our principles, however having a clear conscience and a sense of integrity is worth far more than a stable economic existence imo.
"So we must temper ourselves in situations" I agree, but only in certain situations when we need to protect others.
"Anti-American" Well there's a topic we could discuss for an eternity. I lived in the US for several years, then my work took me cross border , and I had family and friends there, and my opinion hasn't changed much. I love my US friends but I am done "playing nice". They need to get with the program.
