Today is the day I find out if film editing and VFX skills stay embedded in your memory… or if they need to be reacquired.

In an ideal world I would start project codename #MyFediValentine (aka my video promoting the Fediverse) today and have it ready by Feb 14… but I haven’t done any editing/VFX since Jan 2022 🥲

Realistically I may need a month.

The most important thing is: I have the best intentions - to promote the Fediverse and crucify the malevolent empires of Big Tech.

I have to revive my knowledge of FCP now that it's version 11 and I want to learn to use KDEnlive. I played a little with DaVinci Resolve too. I like camera work and editing, more than graphics, probably because I don't want to get Adobe subscriptions at the moment. Years ago I bought Final Cut Studio. I still have the manuals. And premiere 5.1 and one or two others.
