I wonder how much money they made from holding her for two weeks. Worth it to them I'm sure, whatever it does to the person they detain for no good reason.
And like she says, she's lucky compared to most of the other prisoners in there, who may be trapped in that labyrinth for months, without people on the outside with means and influence to help them.

My wife (non-American) and I were thinking about using the US as a layover point, since a flight we want to go on didn't have a direct route from Canada, but after what's happened, we're not doing that either.
The US is just too scary right now to risk it.
