Note that by banning tech this plan aims to impose complete isolation from the outside world.
If this is implemented as court-ordered "treatment" or as extrajudicial roundups, it crosses a very hard red line. We cannot allow another Holocaust, no matter what the price of stopping it or who we have to right.
I am autistic and I hereby declare that will NOT be getting on this train. I will NOT be taken for this!

in reply to Kernou • • •@Tharpa I read the EO linked in this thread and it really seems like they’re only planning on sending children to the concentration camps. The whole thing is about children and how they eat bad food and don’t get enough exercise and look at screens too much and big daddy government is going to help you all with that by taking your kids and putting them in camps.
The party of small government, parents rights, and FREEDOM want to snatch your kids from you, lock them up, and indoctrinate them.
Then I’ll send you a bill for it all. Your child will not be released until it has been paid in full (I made up that part but the rest of it is the conclusion I’m drawing from the words used in the EO.)

"Slave Camp" or "Death Camp" is what I'm calling it. You don't FORCE people to take a vacation or go on a "wellness retreat."
I will not say "reparenting." The correct term is "reeducation."
I will not be participating in this regime's project of New Speak. I can accurately frame information myself. Thank you.

I was told it was "not credible" by a well known SF author at the time, who turned out to be, surprise surprise, a right wing Christian whack job.

One of the recent documentaries I watched, directed by a survivor, depicted one of the most oppressive environments I've *ever* come across... and I'm a cult researcher, not easily shocked. While that "school" closed, the parent company still operates, entirely unchecked.
The people who run this will have personal, recent, direct experience in how to do it. And how to profit from it.

We know how modern "reeducation camps" work: have a look at North Korea or what China does with the Uigurs.
It means death for many without medicaments and scientifically grounded medicine. Deep dark #fascism.
I'm waiting for a collective outcry after all what happens.

The order stresses transparency and open source, objective data.

The appropriate context when reading that order is the worldview these people support & their behavior. No need to debase yourself by pretending they mean anything but what we know they do.
Edit: honest reading requires that you understand the definition the writer is using

Interpreted by face value that order would make cutting CDC research or purging research data illegal - if interpreted by upright citizens and bureaucracists (for creative true-to-the-letter law-abidance ask german red-tape-slinging bureaucts, or orthodox jews interpreting Levitican laws).

Who’s to say you won’t get diagnosed with depression because you don’t want to have sex with your husband the moment the clock strikes six weeks after birth or whenever the doctor says it’s safe to have sex again? Will new Moms be diagnosed with mental illness if they aren’t keeping up with the housework and making dinner every night for their husband?
I’m Childfree by choice and I support women’s right to choose the life they want to live and this bill sounds OK but it’s kind of terrifying to me because I know the Republicans aren’t trying to do something nice for women. It’s a trap.

This whole thing just mentioned children and controlling their diet, activity, meds, and screen time.
It’ll be much easier for them to molest the kids once they are all in the camps. You should see what they did to the kids in New Hampshire who were incarcerated at YDC.

Once people knew what Hitler was REALLY doing, it was understood in places like the Warsaw Ghetto that armed resistance to the bitter end was the only alternative to being tortured to death in a concentration camp.
Yes, this all started with psych and disability roundups that quickly escalated to "euthanasia." This program now could easily turn into another Aktion T-4.

But you make a good point, I know a bunch of parents that don’t want to tell their children NO and they don’t parent them. These kids run the show from the age of two until they leave the home in their 20s.
So I could see how parents who don’t want to tell their kids what to do might really like this. I’m just glad I never had kids, there’s no way I would let the government take my child to some molestation camp.
And if you think that that’s not what’s going to happen there you should really look up New Hampshire YDC settlements and see how kids were treated in the kid jail here.

Haldol, despite being a frontline option for psychotic episodes, often causes spasms & seizures in patients. Many medical staff will simply add Benadryl, rather than taking away the insulting medication. General medical staff often lack specialized knowledge needed to treat disease and refuse to recognize it, compounding the issue. I know someone who got seizures & kidney damage from the medication, & they resisted switching off it
