For my birthday I’m gonna be hiking toward the backcountry wilderness as far as I can in 2.5 hours and then making my way back

I will undoubtedly hit 3000 species on iNaturalist during this hike as I currently sit at 2998

Yesterday we were granted another #cactus treat in our backyard: the first ever flower on one of our chollas! It was a pleasant surprise, especially since we missed a prickly pear flower by being out of town for a week. This is the first time I've seen a cholla flower so close up.
