BookWyrm is a Fediverse alternative to Amazon's Goodreads. It lets people keep track of their books, publish reviews and discover new titles. Find out more about BookWyrm at:

I'm not sure what you mean?

in reply to Fedi.Tips • • •So ... as much as I hate that Amazon runs GoodReads, they have a specific section for authors to blog, engage with readers, and link their books. They have created a full-spectrum platform
Bookwyrm caters only to the reader, and has no similar author features.

These aren't deliberate design decisions by BookWyrm, they're doing what they can with the resources they have. It's made by volunteers who depend on donations from users.
You can still set up an account and engage with people, it just wouldn't be designated as a separate section?

Only have myself as a follower so I can just log everything there and then boost anything interesting to others.

Iβm really trying to avoid US based or US storage.

Here you go, I had an old test account which I've taken some screenshots from. I'll try to add these to the guide at some point.

Not as far as I can tell, it seems to just have one set of dates for each book.

They do not have books in Polish. Or handle one language. Or do not have a way to link book in one language to the same book in other language.
Which mean that with each book I read, I need to enter all details just to be able to mark "I read that". And if there are no other users reading in Polish, then it is just a list with not needed work.

There are several copies of the same book all over again. Check George Orwell and all those copies of 1984:

The book data for BookWyrm comes from @wikidata and @inventaire
If there's a problem with the automatic book data, they are the projects to follow it up with.
