I canceled Amazon, never shopped at Mal-Wart, don't drink Nestle, and haven't eaten General Mills except Cascadian Farms (until I started boycotting Whole Foods). But FYI, Nestle-owned brands: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_… and General Mills brands: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_…

so use the 28th for practice and then continue it as much as you can for as long as you can.

I think Costco could be an exception, given they rejected the DEI removal proposal. Unless I missed something that happened since then.

But yeah, I hope this works!

@cameronbosch

Absolutely! That’s why it is NOT on the list.

FauxNews has been blasting Costco because it refuses to discontinue DEI.

You did say no major retailers though.

Just making sure. Time to prepare for a day at Costco shopping! 😉

would you happen to know of any online directories of local businesses where you can search by city?
in reply to constancies

@constancies

You can go to your city’s chamber of commerce website. They usually have a “businesses” section where they list the businesses located in the city. But typically the lists are incomplete & not regularly updated. If you don’t know the city site just search online for “(your city’s name) + chamber of commerce” that should get you there.

And a followup post (also posted by @Nonilex ) on companies that have not complied with anti-DEI orders: time.com/7261857/us-companies-…

I have shut down my small business, starting today until Monday.

In addition I moved about $5000 in business spending away from Amazon... And saved about 15%. A lot of stuff on there can be found elsewhere for a lot less.

Not only am I not buying from the list but I am not buying anything. Plus as an added bonus I am canceling several subscriptions!
in reply to Nonilex

Yes!! Boycott those if you can and here are two good websites to learn more about the products that you purchase and wear that money goes to, as well as businesses.

@cwdolunt I think the point is to demonstrate to companies how many of their customers care that they are engaging in this illiberal behavior. If they do not course correct, then the more serious boycotts begin.
