You compare leader who was trying to take back Lybian national wealth from the colonialism for what US punished Lybia in 1980s with people who stole from their people and enrich billionaires. US big oil and IMF were tearing Lybia apart for 30 years in 2009. so, Wikipedia, really? Go into sources of information they linked in there: a book by a software manual written who also made sex ed books, a jihadist magazine(who wanted theocracy and we're sponsored by CIA) and one event that has some real proof that doesn't come from the sources of the same tier as previous ones was the execution of a member of right wing theocratical terrorist group recognized even by the Germany. Then there are killings of jihadis and 2011 CIA backed war.
