Sources of Deception

Of course they are all fake frog news! In the original story (which the AI of course couldn't be bothered to cite) the princess does NOT kiss the frog but yeet it at the wall instead, which -- unlike a kiss -- unleashed enough power to remove the curse and reveal the prince. That Avian Intelligence should not watch too many Disney movies. They're not accurate! 😉

@doctormo I'm not sure, if I understand you correctly, since english is not completely native language to me. The original story is "Der Eiserne Heinrich" (Iron Henry) by Gebrüder Grimm (Brothers Grimm). In that story the frog is thrown against the wall by the princess and thus released from his curse.

This was meant to teach children that negative emotions have to be known/spoken out/communicated to be able to heal.

There's no kissing any frog in the original story. What would that teach children? It's okay to be raped, after all he's a prince? I think we all can agree, that would be bullshit.

@M @silverfish 😅 Yeah, this one was really on me. I really thought for long minute if I should keep the 'happy accident' in the official version, and then, for being honest to my original scenario, I fixed it. (also, I believe 2025's generation of LLMs have process that sort of correct these types of mistakes over the one of the last years, so it might get old better).

@arielmt This mistake, to be fair was 100% mine when copy pasting the text over the already formated first line that I duplicated four time to keep the font size, italic, line-height and bold. Could have been intentional, but I'll 'fix it' in the official website going to 4. But pretty cool the mistake looks like intentional. "Happy accident exists!"

@virtualbri Thank you!
I have a very time consuming painting style for a comic strip. I really envy my colleague on the web who can do a pure black and white line-art and fill them with flat colors.
But I like to paint too much and I would trade this experience for nothing else: I like visible brush stroke and deep colors and contrast.

I also publish a version without text and hi resolution for the artworks only: peppercarrot.com/0_sources/min…

@Troupier Hello!

@datarama Haha, true, my apologies to all the lovely parrot of earth! 🦜

But I tried in the past another metaphor (the Amphora of Intelligence):
1. peppercarrot.com/en/miniFantas…
2. peppercarrot.com/en/miniFantas…

And I had scaling and moving issue to write more jokes with it.

Moving it to the familiar of a sorceress with the contrast of it colorful and her black, cold emotion versus very expressive and bold, was a very lucky move. I'll keep those two. 😊

in reply to Haijo

@Haijo7 That's because it's an issue I made while duplicating the text box of the item 1 fout time, to preserve the formating, I forgot to edit the last 1 into 4. It's fixed on the website now; peppercarrot.com/en/miniFantas… 😊
