"Independent sites (cough, Westenberg, cough) who don’t have the resources to compete with major platforms in visibility and search rankings, lose traffic and, consequently, viability. As a result, entire categories of information and smaller communities become less accessible, hidden behind the algorithms of the dominant, bloated tech giants."

This week I made powrss.com precisely to make it easier to discover independent sites. It's time to reclaim the open web.

That's a good tip. I've just found some RSS feeds on indieblog to add to NewsNetWire, some serious and others like the eclectic Paleofuture, that resurfaces what previous generations thought now would be like.

@ClaireFromClare Many have asked for an RSS feed for the entire site but there are 150+ feeds that update daily!

As a happy medium I added the RSS feed of all sites, which you can subscribe to individually.

I could provide a "digest" RSS feed for top posts each day. I just don't want to clutter people's feedreaders.

What would you like to see? I'm happy to implement one, I'm just afraid it might be overwhelming.

If you have suggestions I'm all ears!
