For #LibraryShelfieDay, here's the book case in our living room. The top two shelves are reserved for the works of Terry Pratchett.

The thing I've found really lovely about this whole endeavour is just how similar a lot of us are. And I immediately picked out a load of books you have that I've got and am either reading, have just read or am waiting to read! Kindred spirits. 👊 :blobcatbook:

@TheBreadmonkey@beige.party I made a point of removing Mein Kampf and my Ayn Rand collection before taking the photo ❤️

Oh my god. I'm so sorry but I appear to have did an actual lol.

@TheBreadmonkey@beige.party Joking aside, this is a modest collection that mostly exists as decoration / collection, because 99% of my reading these days is done with my Kobo. But that doesn't make for such a nice corner of the living room.

I like to imagine that these aren't even your books - they're your owners. That you are actually a cat and the packet of Dreamies are yours.

I used to work in the art gallery in Bradford (birthplace of Hockney). About 10 years ago we were selling the sumo book and I so wish I had bought one at the time. Part of my habit at the time was to buy a work from our open exhibitions every year. I don’t have any to put it now mind, but I do like nice things.

It has gone up in price dramatically. This one came from Saltaire. Many years ago Hockney was commissioned to do a drawing for the cover of the BT Bradford Area phone book. I wonder who now has the original

ahh, I worked at Cartwright Hall. We opened a new Hockney gallery about 8 years ago

I saw a massive Hockney wall at Cartwright hall in 2011 I think.

I was there then! I probably greeted you. Bigger Trees Near Warter!
