@renudist @PZWalker the key is using all the bridge tools what continue connections on exisiting platforms but originate inthe Fediverse. Recently began using several tools that allow that. For example this post on body dot social will bridge to BSky Mastodon and Friendica I can reply from Friendica to any comments likes shares etc. becuase it interfaces with BSky Mastodon protocols as well as even the former Twitter. If we build it they will come

@renudist
I wonder what the impact the requirements for age verification will be for naturist groups on line. We need to balance safety and privacy, I think one advantage of the fediverse is groups can set up their own instances, decide who they federate with, and I am guessing lock that down to groups (e.g members of a naturist group) but then different groups could easily federate with other groups, which could be handy if going on vacation.

I know more countries are going to implement these checks, bans etc even discord is going to do this and those who choose not to, will be limited to 'teen' accounts or something.

@zleap @renudist not sure you can avoid that completely just have to work at solutions that effectively address the safety issue. Some people attacked having an age gate on our movie site but we did it anyway because its appropriate. Same for our community site. If you have a site with mostly text it may not be as critical. The bigger issue in my mind is face and identity scans for verification because when there are data breaches that exposes real serious information

@Paul Sutton (zleap) @Rene Bellamy @clothesfreelife naturist hub Right the key for naturists is setting clear norms and guidelines. That is the advantage of setting up in the Fediverse you can choose how to moderate on ethical naturist principles and values and weed out those who are not interested in ethical naturism.
