Ethereal has two sets of laws. Nation law, enforced by the monarchy, and Witch law, enforced by the covens.
Nation laws, are old, dusty translations of laws set by a different culture before the re-alignment and global amnesia..
But Witch law, is ruthless, structureless, ever-changing, wild, and vengeful.
Freya casually breaks both on an average day.

In Ethereal, that is where Witch law and Nation law balance each other out. Going after trans folks in Ethereal would restart a civil war with the covens that the nation cannot win.

In the real world, or our World, there are Covens that are vicioulsy transphobic, and entire paths that are historically homophobic, such as Gardnerian and Alexandrian Re homophobia and Dianic which is still transphobic.
The flip side of the coin is Reclaiming which while not being wiccan is very inclusive. Although they do have some problematic aspects...

Me too, I am a Solitary fo much the same reasons, along with being Autistic and therefore being uncomfortable with certain practices for neurodivergent and gender identity reasons.

Precisely.
And some have a very limited view on what a coven is and adhere to a hierarchy that gives me the creeps.
I consider those who I could call on in case of a crisis, and vice versa, part of my coven. Other than that, I'll do my own rituals, and remain independent.

Absolutely, and a coven does not have to be restricted in time or space, it is Intention which is manifestly paramount.

Good point, I certainly consider some of my ancestors part of my coven. Same rules apply, if we can call on each other in times of crisis, they're in. 💜

Yes, I'm aware. It's something I do not comprehend, though. But I have encountered it in the wild a few times. I did some hand fastening ceremonies this spring for some lovely LGBTQ couples, and some ladies told me they weren't comfortable with it, as this time should be about fertility.
I very literally believe in the fertility of love.
There are of course covens with problematic convictions in Ethereal, as well, and Witch law isn't always rational.

People have unfortunately grown up with a very binary or dualistic view of the World. Which is odd, especially for nature base Spiritual paths as nature is not binary. It isn't a computer!
