Section 230 has veered so far from its original intentions it is unrecognizable. Big tech hides behind its protections while lobbing toxicity at us for profit.
I am astonished by the stubborn refusal of otherwise thoughtful people to recognize its role in giving life to *so* much of what is wrong.
Even IF we were to accept that platforms meet the letter of the law, its use is so clearly contrary to the spirit.

This should be obvious to anybody. But then we get billions in lobbying and politicians are magically โconfusedโ about it.
