A Danish PhD position is REAL JOB under ACADEMIC UNION wages and conditions. You WILL be able to live from this salary (especially since it's not in Copenhagen). You will have 5+ weeks of paid holiday, paid sick days, paid [p|m]aternity leave. And public health care, of course, being a resident of Denmark. No stress about going bankrupt from a broken leg.
Also, the subject seems kinda interesting.

In that case, the rental market will be tough but should be doable, especially for those willing to accept inconvenient lodgings at the beginning.

The computer science departments group in Copenhagen has now grown to about 30 people and is still growing.
We started with 2 assistant professors 5 years ago, when we started our Software education in Copenhagen.
