This is the document, Trump does not want you to see.

In 1916, under President Woodrow Wilson, the United States signed the purchase of the Virgin Islands from Denmark, in a convention in which the United States recognised Denmark's right to the whole of Greenland.

Danish MP's of The Defence Committee will convene in the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility at 18:00 to discuss the defence of Greenland.

@doboprobodyne @invadersil that's right, very few treaties are worth the paper they're written on, just a load of high-minded rhetoric full of false support and fake diplomacy, but I guess what it will do is ensure the rest of the world will never give up their nuclear weapons, no matter what these lying scummy political meat bags promise them...

This document could have been written by Trump himself with his ridiculous overcompensating large black sharpie. Could have been televised. He would still ignore/deny it on a whim, and the MAGA fascists would still support him. It's a banana republic over there now. There is no point in trying to make sense of anything they do or say. It's fascism, greed, and cruelty, from psycopaths.

That declaration dates back to the olden time.

Today it does tells us in clear words, that Agent Orange will break each and every treaty, accord, or agreement he deems useful or necessary to rip off peoples all over the world or to foster his and his billionaire buddies' obscene wealth.

Covering up the Epstein files has a price tag, too.

You say that as if "laws" and "treaties" have some sort of effect on the current Administration. As was clearly stated in "The Art of the Deal", Donald Trump has *always* broken his contracts. He *recommended* that you get subcontractors to start the work, and once they've invested their labor and materials sufficiently, you simply break the contract and re-negotiate the deal. That's his "Art". Just like the Scorpion in the tale, we knew what he was before we took him on our backs.

@elCelio Folketinget has two members that are elected by the Greenlandic people, but no representatives from the Greenland self-governance were invited, either from the Inatsisartut or the Naalakkersuisut, so ”Greenland” as an entity was not invited (even though you could argue that representatatives from the Greenlandic people were). This is remarkable.

There's an easy spin for trump et al to explain their ignoring the document:

Quote: United States of America will not object to the Danish Government extending their political and economic interests to the whole of Greenland.

They'll just say Denmark has failed in extending their political and economic interests to the whole of Greenland and therefore it's down to the good ol' us of a to do the job for Greenland on Denmark's behalf. Simples!

There's one safeguard that can be placed, and maybe it will work. If Denmarka ASAP signs with a private enterprise (possibly setup just for that purpose) a deal which grants that enterprise full unlimited rights to access all minerals, fossil fuels, and others. Of course that enterprise would do nothing with them, but the whole deal would function as a 'tag', making it harder for trump to promise pieces of Greenland to US companies.
