Jesus is the Good Shepherd

At today's Mass, we heard a reading from John 10:11-18 reminding us that Jesus is the Good Shepherd: biblegateway.com/passage/?sear…

This is a beautiful comparison! Just as a shepherd's role is to protect and care for their sheep, Jesus is there for us to protect, guide, and care for us. Just as a shepherd knows their sheep, so too does Jesus know us individually. Just as a shepherd tries to find lost sheep that have strayed and bring them back to the flock, so too does Jesus welcome us back to His flock when we've strayed off course.

We are all part of one flock under the care of the Good Shepherd! How beautiful is this?
