What's going on...?
In the last century, during the presidency of #Ronald Reagan, the #United States made great efforts to become the dominant power in the world. They started a great arms race, which allowed America to become a powerful military state, and, on the other hand, to exhaust the economy of the Soviet Union and lead to the collapse of the communist bloc. In March 1983, a long-term and large-scale program was announced to achieve military superiority in outer space (the so-called Strategic Defense Initiative, or "Star Wars" program), which aimed to economically weaken the USSR as much as possible. All this cost the Americans dearly, but the result was worth it.
But what do we see now? Constant flirting with #Russia, attempts to make cheap capital there led to the emergence of a fascist regime there. The West, led by the United States, raised a monster, more terrible than the former Soviet Union.
Russia's military aggression against #Ukraine showed that all those democratic values, which America loves to talk about so much, are worthless. It turns out that you can take a country's nuclear weapons in exchange for security guarantees, but then forget your promises. You can demand from a country that is fighting for independence to give its land to the invader. You can issue ultimatums to the injured party, not the invader. You can demand from Ukraine mineral resources worth 500 billion dollars, without providing even a tenth of that amount of aid.
You can write a lot more, but I will ask: how can you turn from a great America into an ordinary usurer, for whom there is no morality, and the main thing is only money?
