When I landed on Mastodon, I didn't share other people's messages so much. Coming from Twitter, I was used to curate my own content and be restrictive about sharing, to avoid flooding my followers.

The absence of algorithm here led me to revise this "editorial approach" - now I share a lot more. I do hope that a future Masto update will bring a way to isolate my own posts, but in the meantime, sharing is the most powerful tool I have to add visibility to messages and people.
