I created a group called FriendicaApp to discuss questions and ideas around Friendica. But I struggle to find it in the UI of the Fedilabs app for Android.
Does anyone know how to find Friendica groups in the Fedilabs Android client?

in reply to Fossfan Leander (f.w) • • •@Fossfan I haven't used Fedilabs in ages. I'm only using Raccoon and the web version so far. Do you want to find new groups or the groups that you have just subscribed to? If it's the former, you can check out some public groups on the Friendica Directory (it's opt-in, so some people might just have not signed their groups or their own profiles to this). If it's the latter, you can find them in your main feed, on the left sidebar (there should be a widget called "Groups"). There's also an "Account types" widget further down in the same sidebar where you can select "Groups" to filter all account types of that type.
You can also create a circle of all your groups so that you can have a feed of your groups only. I created one too, I called it "Frontpage" (since I like Reddit too).

I am not aware of any apps that shows you your groups only. Raccoon seems to show you the groups you follow in the same list with your various feeds/channels and circles. Maybe that's a feature to propose for raccoonforfriendicaapp@poliverso.org I guess?
It's worth mentioning that, since Friendica is federated, you do not have to limit yourself only to the Friendica groups. You can follow Lemmy or Piefed communities or Mbin magazines and they will appear like regular Friendica groups. For example, try searching and following this one:
@fediverse@lemmy.world. I have also written a how-to guide on groups and pretty much lots of other stuff. Go check it out: sites.google.com/view/allabout…Fossfan Leander (f.w) likes this.

in reply to Cătă 🇷🇴🇺🇦🇲🇩🇪🇺 • •@Cătă 🇷🇴🇺🇦🇲🇩🇪🇺 thanks for the great answer. Yes I'm trying out different things and #Racoon seems to be the best working app for mobile.
In my question I was thinking about groups one has already joined. In Racoon I wish there'd be a more prominent top level link to groups instead of circles -> groups -> groupName
Its really unclear whether I'm posting to a group right now or just @-ing you in general.
My "dream" is to find a way of offering an alternative to FB groups for local communities. But then ease-of-use and "ease of understanding" must increase.
