Today’s poem is called ‘How Much I Dislike the Daily Mail’.
in reply to Brian Bilston

It bothers me no end that in our Tesco Express the piles of Daily Mail early in the morning are bigger than all the others put together, and they are gone by evening. Almost every person I stand behind in the queue, who has a paper, has the Mail. A few older posher-looking types have the Telegraph. It's out any wonder I have no friends here? It's a fascist enclave.

For Americans

I would not, could not ever choose
To voluntarily watch FOX News
I would not, could not in my house
Watch FOX News with a mouse

I would not, could not with a chalice
Seek ironic “fair and balance”
I would not, could not self-abuse
My intelligence with FOX News

I wouldn’t do it just-pretends
I wouldn’t do it with violins
I wouldn’t do it until time ends
Sit and watch FOX and Friends
