I start with a normal line of text for the title, add some more text below it, then end the toot by @ing this community, but it never showed up. Here's a link to it

I strongly suspect I'm doing something wrong, as I have never used mastodon or friendica until today.

Friendica and mastodon seem to shorten the @ after it's posted, as I do specify the full path to jlai.lu.

You were right about needing to link the instances first! After I searched this community and followed it from mastodon, my comment went through. :D
