The art of no deal:

Spain will not choose the F-35 because it is produced in Trump country, so Lockheed Martin now loses around 100 million dollars per plane, Spain is not buying, thanks to the US president.

Buying anything American defense or security related would be a big national security risk for an outside county now. Hopefully other EU countries follow suit.

I hate for us to get wrecked but its just the reality that the only way for us to correct course is going to be a major crash out economically.

"The Eurofighter Typhoon under consideration is a fourth-generation, multi-role combat aircraft made by a consortium of European companies: Airbus, BAE Systems, and Leonardo. And the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) is an initiative from France, Germany, and Spain to create a sixth-generation jet, with an operational rollout planned for 2040."

Trump doesn't want countries to buy the F35. He wants to sell F47's, the greatest plane of all time.
Build by Boeing, you know the great American company... responsible for building the planes that had the most incidents and crashes in the last decade...
And I forgot about the leaking space shuttle thing...

@Randahl Fink Is that decision already final? That usually takes years and years, although we live in interesting times...

That order should ideally have gone to a European builder, but are there serious options available that can be delivered in, say, a year? Two years?
