@OtterlySensible Oh, he cares. They both do but Trump especially cares. His number one concern is being the focus of attention. That's why Russia and the Republicans love him so much. They make him do all the crazy stuff they want to do, he gets the attention, they get the policy.
I doubt he cares about who people think is in charge, what matters is he gets his way and his way is a path towards fascism and decline for typical USA's adversaries will dominate the scene. USA will be painted as the bad guys, because Trump is aligned with this path, for potentially different reasons than Musk, yet in the end it means all of North America will suffer greatly if nothing is done to stop them.
Even if musk goes (hopefully real soon) we are still stuck with the Project 2025 traitors running the show. FFS, senate magats even put Vought as OMB director. We need an asteroid to fall on DC and magat a lago to get rid of these grifting leeches.
