#EngenderedWriting 26. Would you consider using a pen name of the opposite gender to add subtext to your story.

I’m not clever enough to think of such a devious scheme. I might change my name to escape being canceled or to evade discrimination, but nothing half this devious.

@NaraMoore ⛩️👻八尺様👻⛩️ (Author) No. While I might write something as the opposite sex, I wouldn't actually use a pen name that way. The only reason I would personally use a pen name at all would be because I don't use my birth name, except when legally necessary. But that's just because I don't like it.

@dandylover1

I do use a pseudonym for gender reasons.

Reason? It’s dangerous being trans, writing trans. It spares me casual doxing. (I'm am sure anyone who really wanted to track me down could. I’m not so careful about the bread crumbs I let drop.)
