The specific technology is not clear to me here. (Though that's a matter of curiosity for me, not skepticism; I accept the claims made.) Braking is an inherent friction process, and it's unclear to me how effective braking is accomplished without overheating yet with such dramatically reduced ablation. It's marvelous, but I'd like to understand it better. This is, of course, probably a product of my significant comparative ignorance about this stuff. ;)
