LED bulbs are supposed to last this long, but sometimes there are manufacturing defects. I bought some a while back, one instantly let out smoke and died, the shop gave me a replacement, it and the others are still going strong over a decade later πŸ™‚

i opened any of my led bulbs that failed and it was always the resistor limiting inrush current to the rectifying capacitor in the included as cheap as possible switching power supply for the led dc voltage.
I only encountered led failure once in a neon tube replacement, where they used standard pcb instead of the aluminum core needed to get rid of the heat.
The 1000 hours burning time of indescand bulbs was a cartel agreement to limit it to that to sell more bulbs, not an inherent design flaw.
