The Adelaide Road Cemetery was officially reserved and dedicated in November 1886, replacing the short lived original cemetery at Murray Park. Its first burial was William Hill on 2 October 1886, and it remained Murray Bridge’s main cemetery until the opening of the newer Bremer Road Cemetery in the late 20th century.
