!Interplanetary Government
Just in case you missed my other post, I recently declared myself to be the Interim Administrator of the Interplanetary Government.

The word "interim" implies that my position is temporary until a proper interplanetary government is formed.

I promise I'll step down once a proper interplanetary government is formed.

I don't want to be seen as anti-democratic, but sometimes voters elect the absolutely worse people.

Some say they do this due to various forms of propaganda, but it's difficult to limit propaganda without limiting rights to expression.

There are countries that fund groups that use things like racks of phones with multiple sim cards to make thousands of posts and comments to influence people. One of my favorite military YouTubers, Ryan McBeth, calls these "weapon systems" and justifies the use of military force against them. Regardless if you agree with McBeth, these kinds of operations are out there, and 80% of the comments and posts you see could be due to government funded influence programs.

While many Americans balk at limitations on free speech, they forget that the US has some limitations on commercial speech under the commerce clause. Many other countries of course have more restrictions, particularly in relation to elections.

If the Interplanetary Government will be some kind of democracy, then how do we make sure that people aren't influenced into electing the wrong people?
