Civil Service Exam Is Not Mandatory
I will not treat the Civil Service Examination (CSE) as mandatory, unlike the PRC board exams or the Supreme Court Bar Exam.
• Passing the CSE grants eligibility to work in the Philippine government, but it is optional unless one intends a government career.
• Passing a PRC board exam or the Bar Exam by the Supreme Court automatically makes a person eligible to work in the government, in addition to being allowed to practice their profession.
• Unlike these exams, the CSE does not create a legal requirement, so I will focus only on preparation aligned with my personal goals.
