Not satisfied with how fear eats our hearts,
sad bear of solitude climbs the glass tower
to harvest pears from Tree of Innocence
so all the children in the starving land
may eat sweet happiness of honesty
though bombs disperse their lonely families.
Erasing names from road signs with his blood,
sad bear of solitude captures sunlight
with paint he smears on blank cathedral walls
through call for revolution against hate
till teachers on vacation at the beach
throw weird unwritten novels to the wind.
Regretful for how maps conceal the truth,
sad bear of solitude programs our brains
to navigate our global maze of myths
while riding turtles with ten thousand eyes
so we can contemplate with casual rage
vain emptiness in social games we play.
While parking cars behind the shopping mall,
sad bear of solitude redesigns chess
back to its original social roles
where bishops are princesses in tall towers
and queens are precious heirs of properties
while kings lead knights to build empires on laws.
Honored by award of celestial pride,
sad bear of solitude allocates faith
for crowds of revelers on river walks
who celebrate night of the Harvest Moon
while he plays haunting tunes on white jade flute
to hide the sounds of bombs exploding hope.
Climbing to top of Snake Pagoda hall,
sad bear of solitude investigates
obsessive state of mind that humans hide
while driving cars in circles of success
despite the arrogance of butterflies
who land on razor wires of paradise.
Trapped by fierce wildfire in the wilderness,
sad bear of solitude steals devil wings
but fails to escape political games
fought between localists and globalists
in civil war they play in cyberspace
to prove he is the King of Everywhere.
Awake in palace of the singing ghost,
sad bear of solitude commissions God
to reinvent the wheel of cosmic fate
so people of the world unite their hearts
in pledge to honor liberty for all
till snow erases mankind from the Earth.

Orpheus frees sad bear of solitude from the city zoo so he can ramble on the golden highway from sea to shining sea because this land is mine.
