Not exactly, my take is that the U.S. DEI programs are meant to ensure that those who are not kicked out because for there social or physical traits are able to gain equal social/job opportunities/footing than those who are already 'privileged (in this case, 'white Christian men')'. One can imagine getting fired from a job just because a woman is pregnant or is blackmailed to stay in the job while receiving acts of sexual harassment or forms of bigotry, for example. Point was DEI is meant to offer such protections since many may also come from poor upbringings (in this case, the privileged are the rich families) to enable them to get similar education/health tr
eatment too.

I think that where it get dis-informed, especially by the 'right-wing intel' and 'bro-news' such as Charlie Kirk, is that narrative that the men of the U.S. felt neglected or dis-favoured. E.g. talks of freedom of speech -> sexual.verbal harassment or death threats. Try Grounded News or looking up on the opposite politics side's point of view and comparisons too, and not just Fox News, perhaps.
