🇪🇺 We are committed to defending the interests of the EU industry.

Our proposal to impose provisional countervailing duties on imports of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) from China received the necessary support from EU countries for adoption.

Our investigation revealed:
➡️ China’s BEV value chain is heavily subsidised;
➡️ Chinese BEV imports threaten the EU industry.

The EU and China are exploring an alternative solution to address the injurious subsidisation.

life hack:
ramp up subsidation – to match china's or even more – until europeans' damaging appendage on fossil fuel vehicles is overwhelmed with e-vehicles that are so cheap that even viktor orban says all oil imports are a thing of the past

Can the EU now make the automakers stop creating, privacy invading, ipads on wheels?
in reply to European Commission

nothing wrong with shielding your industries temporarily until they are ready to compete. Asian countries have done this for decades. Europeans are just not used to seeing themselves on the other side. Time is a wheel.

it's clear your 'commitment' to reduce emissions is not that strong, is it?
in reply to European Commission

You should be committed to protect the health and survival of the European citizens! We are living in a climate crisis for a large part caused by the European industry you still wrongly protect.

"maybe" make us germans stop making fossile fulled vehicles, then we would be competitive and this won't be necessary

Very cool.

Now subsidise the European rolling stock industry.
Unlike European cars, European trains are already ahead and they offer solutions for more equitable and less harmful transport. Cars, regardless of power source, are not the solution.

The EU copying what their USA masters do. The USA shoot themselves on a foot with their policies against China, the EU does the same.

The lack of protection for the european citizens from foreign intervention by the usa is appaling.

This commision is not more than a group of mindless zombies. 😒
