As a descendant of Puritan Poet Anne Bradstreet, I come from a family of poets.

Anne Bradstreet's father Thomas Dudley was cousins with Mary Dudley, mother of Sir Philip Sidney.

Olive Wendell Holmes and I are descended from Anne and Simon, while William Ellery Channing, Edwin Arlington Robinson, Robert Lowell, and Franklin D'Olier Reeve were descended from several of Anne's Dudley siblings.
