Kapunda Cemetery, Kapunda, South Australia.

Kapunda is home to two primary historical cemeteries: the Kapunda Cemetery (the main town cemetery) and the St John’s Catholic Cemetery, which is located a few kilometres outside of town and carries a more somber, legendary history.

Kapunda Cemetery serves as a record of the pioneers who built the copper mining town.

A black and white photograph of a weathered white stone cross and an adjacent dark headstone viewed through the vertical bars of a cemetery fence. The inscription on the cross base references William Oldham, who departed this life in July 1885. The image features a textured, soft focus effect across the foreground and background, with the "Gardens of the Silent" watermark in the upper left corner.
