Hi!
Hey there, fellow trailblazer! I’ve just set foot into this vibrant Friendica community—like a fresh explorer ready to navigate uncharted digital landscapes with an open heart. This feels like the dawn of something special, where connections can bloom and conversations thrive.
At my core, I’m a seeker of stories, especially those that soar into the realms of science fiction. Whether it's through books or writing, these narratives fuel my imagination, transporting me to distant galaxies where possibilities are endless. And when I weave English with Danish, it’s like building bridges across worlds—each word a step toward understanding.
My sanctuary is a self-hosted haven—a place where nature intertwines with technology, and every plant tells its own tale of resilience. Amidst this green retreat, I find peace and inspiration, reminding me that growth is always possible, even in unexpected places.
When the stars align, gaming calls my name—offering adventures within digital realms that challenge my strategy skills and ignite wonder. It’s a universe where critical thinking reigns supreme, each quest an opportunity to explore new horizons of logic and creativity.
I believe in the power of authentic connections, gathered over good conversations—and sometimes a pint of beer—to fuel our shared journeys. Here, we can cultivate a community that values self-hosting as much as self-expression—a space where ideas flourish like wildflowers in spring.
Let’s embark on this adventure together, nurturing spaces ripe with optimism and boundless curiosity. 🌿🎮✨📚🍻
.. and that was ofc written with AI... Hi! Im new.. I was looking for an alternative to facebook, for the whole family to use.. So im just testing a bunch of platforms. Friendica feels old in the UI and at the same time, fresh.. weirdly enough. No ads, no big UI elements.

in reply to rabalupe • •I am also testing out Friendica as an option for a self hosted escape from the cesspool of modern social media.
I've used Mastodon, but I'm not a fan of the small thoughts it encourages and I prefer the longer form, formatted, and flexible interface here. I am also a product of the OG Facebook as it debuted when I was in my first year of college and it was only available to my generation at the time.
I feel like I need a return to those earlier days of the internet and only wish I could still use GAIM to bring all of my chat platforms into one single interface as well...

I tried Mastodon as well, pixelfed, lemmy, element x.. and so on.
And right now nextcloud also seem to be a great option.
