I thought it might be a country. I looked through the first sentence and guessed it was something like "[5], officially the republic of [5] is a country in [5] [4]."

Only Asia is a 4 letter continent, so maybe South Asia? My first guess was Nepal. Which gave some hits, so I though one of its neighbours.
