The US is getting ready to lock down web access and tell you how to run your device (OS/device-level age-gating). The bill just passed the House and it'll probably pass the Senate, ending online free speech and device ownership.

I dunno what good it'll do, but here's the link to write your Senators and tell them how you feel about this bill and ask them to vote against it. I wrote both of mine earlier.

The US is about to completely lock down its internet and push the KIDS Act through, basically turning its internet into an NK-style intranet. This is gonna kill open web platforms like the Fediverse assuming web DRM is its enforcement mechanism, and it'll also kill FOSS for the same reason.
