So, this just came up in my mind, but this is kinda sad to think about; as of 2021, when Embracer bought out Dark Horse, out of all the major comic houses in the US, the only one left who's still independent is Image, as DC is owned by WB/Netflix, Marvel is owned by Disney, and as of 2021, Dark Horse is owned by Embracer.

If any industry needs more indie publishing houses like Image, it's the Western comic industry.
