Quello che pensi è energia, tieni sempre d’occhio i tuoi pensieri

Sono a Londra e pedalando verso il lavoro comincio a pensare a quando con una mia amica carissima siamo andati a Cupra per la sagra delle castagne e di come la serata fosse stata magica, e penso a Grottamare alta, un bellissimo borgo vicino al paese dove sono nato e che la mia amica mi aveva promesso di andarci insieme quando sarei ritornato in Italia. Questo pensiero fa sì che si metta in moto un’altro pensiero che è quello di scrivergli per sapere se lei e il figlio stanno bene, mi risponde, come è già accaduto in passato, anche lei stava pensando a me e aveva intenzione di scrivermi. Gli racconto che stavo pensando a Cupra e Grottamare e per questo motivo gli ho scritto, lei sorpresa mi dice, stavo pensando esattamente alla stessa cosa e per questo che ti volevo scrivere.

Cosa vuol dire questo? I pensieri sono energia, più potente di quanto ci possiamo immaginare, le persone a cui pensiamo possono sentire questa frequenza invisibile ed è importante che si mantengano solo intenzioni positive e benevole, tutto inizia con un pensiero, il pensiero mette in moto le emozioni, le emozioni emettono un’energia invisibile che permette di manipolare la realtà esteriore e di trasformarla in quella in cui desideriamo.

The monk and nun baristas
By Alessandro Carosi - I have wanted to go to South Korea for a long time, for several reasons: to see an old friend again, to understand the world of Korean coffee, which plays an important role in the lives of Koreans, and to learn about Buddhism.

I love to travel and to immerse myself in the local culture, I think it’s the best way to understand it and I love the world of coffee, I always try to combine the two. Recently, I lived in a coffee plantation in northern Thailand and three years ago I worked in a coffee roastery in Bangkok.

Before leaving for Seoul, where I wanted to spend a couple of months, I sent emails and messages on Instagram to every café and roastery in the city, I wanted to get into the South Korean coffee industry, but despite my efforts and hundreds of messages, I couldn’t find anything. The trip to Asia would go ahead anyway, and if I couldn’t do it by working in a coffee shop, I would look for something else.

Time passes and I have an idea that is definitely inspired by something greater than myself, fascinated by Buddhism and the lifestyle of monks, I think, why not trying to spend some time in a temple, considering that I practise meditation daily and many of the principles of Buddhism, it could be an opportunity to meditate in a more spiritual setting, understand more about this religion and, in my free time, visit cafés and deepen my interest in South Korean coffee culture. …. anextraordinaryandordinarylife…

I’ve spent my life cooking and working with farmers to get the best, most honest food onto our plates. I know that great food comes from healthy soils and clean water, but both are now under serious threat.

Right now, millions of tonnes of sewage sludge (that's the solid stuff left over from the sewage treatment process) are being spread across Britain’s farmland. Farmers are told that it’s safe fertiliser, but it’s packed with forever chemicals, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, microplastics, and other toxins. It is poisoning our soils and flowing straight into our rivers.

We can fix this. We can have clean water, healthy soil, and honest farming, but only if we demand it. Will you add your name?

Era da tanto che volevo andare in Sud Corea, per diversi motivi, rivedere una vecchia amica, capire il mondo del caffè Coreano che gioca un ruolo importante nella vita dei Coreani e il Buddhismo.

Mi piace fare del volontariato quando viaggio perché trovo sia uno dei modi migliori per capire della società e della cultura locale in cui mi andrò ad immergere, amando il mondo del caffe’ cerco sempre di unire le due cose, recentemente ho fatto del volontariato in una piantagione nel nord della Thailandia e tre anni fa in una torrefazione a Bangkok.

Prima di partire per Seul dove volevo spendere un paio di mesi cominciai a mandare e-mail e messaggi su Instagram a qualsiasi caffetteria e torrefazione della città nella speranza di trovare qualcuno disposto a darmi un posto dove stare o del cibo in cambio di lavoro gratuito, volevo entrare dentro l’industria del caffe’ Sud Coreano ma nonostante i miei sforzi e centinaia di messaggi non riuscii a trovare nulla, il viaggio in Asia sarebbe stato fatto comunque e se non potevo farlo lavorando in una caffetteria avrei cercato qualcos’altro.

Passa del tempo e ho un’idea sicuramente ispirata da qualcosa di più grande di me, affascinato dal Buddhismo anche se non mi reputo un Buddhista e affascinato dallo stile di vita dei Monaci penso, perché non provare a spendere del tempo in un Tempio, considerando che pratico la meditazione giornalmente e molti dei principi del Buddhismo, poteva essere un’occasione per meditare in un contesto più spirituale, capire di più di questa religione e nel tempo libero visitare caffetterie e approfondire il mio interesse sulla cultura del caffè Sud Coreano.

Su Internet comincio a cercare di Templi e rispettive e-mail per trovarne uno disposto a farmi fare del volontariato con i monaci aiutandoli nelle faccende giornaliere in cambio di alloggio e cibo gratis, chi risponde mi dice che non c’è la possibilità ma non demordo, alla fine ricevo l’aiuto che cercavo, qualcuno mi dice che non accettano stranieri ma c’è un Tempio chiamato “JustBe Temple” che offre un programma aperto …. anextraordinaryandordinarylife…
