BookWyrm

I've also landed on BookWyrm as a Goodreads replacement. Hoping to use it as a database for the books I own so I don't accidentally buy books I already have (I've done that many times). I'm @Etnmarchand if you want to follow.

Wanted to stick with something open source and federated. This will make the 5th time I've had to enter my library. I had given up on finding something (I stoped using Goodreads long ago now). BookWyrm seems like enough of a fit I'm willing to try one more time.

@etnmarchand @T.J. if you still have access to Goodreads, you can export your data and import it into bookworm. It might save you some effort.

@skribe friendica.world/profile/etnmar… techhub.social/users/hahrbinje… Yeah, that’s what I ended up doing. I didn’t have much data because I just started back my reading journey this year.

It has been so long since I used Goodreads, whatever book lists I had there are WAY out of date. Best to start over.

I got the web app set up on my phone, so in the next day or so, I'll use the barcode scan feature to enter a few books and test out what I can do with it.
