Mental Health Week A Call to Action: Loneliness
Loneliness can feel like isolation or a lack of connection to others. It can be experienced even if physically surrounded by people. This is a common human experience; but if it remains unchecked, can lead to issues of social anxiety, depression, anxiety, and cognitive decline. In all, it can hurt your mood, sleep and overall well-being. As we celebrate Mental Health Week in the UK, it is important to remember that loneliness can be a common experience for many people. As a therapeutic counsellor, with an understanding of how difficult it can be when feelings of isolation or lack of connection persist over time; I offer support and resources to help individuals overcome these challenges. Finding meaningful connections with others may not always be easy, and is a brave step on that journey of wellness. This is not only a call to action for those who may be struggling, but also serves as a reminder to our communities.
Taking steps, creating spaces for meaningful connections, can have positive effects on our collective mental health. #Mental Health Week #Loneliness #Anxiety #Depression #Sleep #Community
