As a kid someone gave me a book, kind of a rock encyclopedia, called “Star Scene '77”. I must have been only eight then, but I liked to read in that, who these people are that performed in the TV shows of the 70’s, like “Disco” or “Musikladen” (“Music Shop”). So, yeah, of course I knew Celia Yancey then, or “Yancey” her stage name. Just I didn’t know much of her music actually. And when I stumbled across her yesterday, I was quite surprised most people have never heard of her, it seems.

I think, Yancey just made this one album: youtu.be/NvLx0YAUIds?list=PLz_…. Then married, or was already? And worked as a teacher I think. No wonder no one knows her today. Died in 2021.
