The US government has designated the Italian collective Autistici/Inventati, which produces the infrastructure of NoBlogs.org, a "Specially Designated Global Terrorist," freezing their assets and prohibiting all transactions with them—citing their "far-left" politics and the fact that they have provided services to "anti-fascist" groups for justification.
Autistici/Inventati is an activist-oriented tech project that offers encrypted communications tools, email, web hosting, secure chat, and video conferencing platforms for users who prefer to stay off corporate grids.
This is what the US government is shutting down as "terrorism."

we just wrote up a primer on who A/I is, the collective's history and what this new attack might mean going forward.
We express our solidarity with the Autistici / Inventati collective following the cowardly attack on the digital self-defence platform designed to enable activists, associations, farmers and people living in rural areas to communicate freely and on a self-managed basis.
Anti-fascism and anti-capitalism are not terrorism, and dissent is a constitutional right and the prerogative of a democratic society that stands up to the autocracies and fascisms re-emerging from history.

The tech collective behind NoBlogs.org and a host of other free online initiatives has announced that they are shutting down as a consequence of the US State Department designating them a "global terrorist."
This represents a significant blow to online freedom. It is not just a threat to anarchists or volunteer-run tech collectives; the Trump administration aims to shut down any institution or project that it perceives to stand in the way of its pursuit of totalitarian control.
We must fight them every inch of the way.

Die Verharmlosung "linke Gruppen" bei Extremisten kennt man ja schon von Netzpolitik. Aber dieses Aufmacherbild des Artikels ist doch Manipulation. Zum einen hat das nichts mit dem Inhalt des Artikels zu tun und zum anderen wird der Kontext des Bildes nicht richtig beschrieben. Hier wurde ein Polizist durch einen Flaschenwurf getroffen und blutet.
