I can't afford a $10,000 bail, much less a $50k bail. Can you?

Chances are good that you can't. That means being jailed for weeks or even months before your trial is resolved, without even being convicted of any crime.

We have to do away with cash bail, fam.

This is pedantic AF, I know, but it really irritates me when media outlets report about "violent attacks" or "violent bombing" in war zones, etc. 😒

The implication is that "non-violent attacks" and "non-violent bombing" are things that exist in this reality. "Attacking" and "bombing" are inherently violent acts, so I can't even imagine what the non-violent versions of those things would look like.

If you're an editor to some news outlet, please, for the sake of my poor brain, strike the redundant phrasing 🙏

King's take here exemplifies the American shitlib mentality.

Dude assumes (probably rightly so) that most Congressional representatives are terrible human beings who shouldn't have power, suggests that if we knew their dark secrets we would remove them from power, then concludes that the only thing to do is to elect his very special terrible human being to join all the others 🤦‍♂️
