US Policy on the Russian-Ukrainian War
How pathetic the US policy on the Russian-Ukrainian war looks. If Biden was openly afraid of Putin, Trump is going to cooperate with a thief. And this is not surprising. It is enough to look at the results of the United States' international actions and see that all its greatness is only on paper. After the Second World War, in almost all conflicts in which the United States participated, it was defeated or brought chaos and instability. And this is despite the fact that the United States fought only with the much weaker. And now Trump is de-emphasizing his strength in front of the weaker ones, and flirting with Putin because his knees are shaking...
A brief overview of US involvement in military conflicts and interventions after World War II:
Year Reason for intervention Type of intervention Result
1950-1953 Containment of communism in South Korea Military intervention The Korean War ended in an armistice, without a peace treaty.
1954 Preventing the spread of communism in Guatemala Support for a coup (CIA operation) Overthrow of the democratic government of Jacobo Arbenz.
1961 Preventing a communist regime in Cuba Bay of Pigs invasion (failed operation) Failure, strengthening of Fidel Castro's power.
1965 Protection of the regime in the Dominican Republic Military intervention Support for the interim government.
1965-1973 Containment of communism in Vietnam Large-scale military intervention US defeat, unification of Vietnam under communist rule.
1973 Curbing socialist reforms in Chile Funding and support for a coup Overthrow of the Allende government, installation of Pinochet's dictatorship.
1981-1988 Opposition to communism in Nicaragua Funding of the Contras (guerrilla forces) Weakening of the Sandinista government, civil war.
1983 Protection of US interests in Grenada Military intervention Removal of the left-wing government, establishment of a pro-American regime.
1989 Fighting drug trafficking in Panama Military intervention Removal of Manuel Noriega, establishment of a new government.
1991 Liberation of Kuwait after the Iraqi invasion Operation Desert Storm Victory of the coalition, restoration of Kuwait's independence.
2001-2021 Response to the September 11 attacks, fight against terrorism Military intervention in Afghanistan Withdrawal of troops, return of power to the Taliban.
2003-2011 Search for weapons of mass destruction, overthrow of Saddam Hussein Military intervention in Iraq Removal of Hussein, prolonged instability in the region.
2011 Protection of civilians (according to the UN resolution) Military intervention in Libya (airstrikes) Overthrow of Gaddafi, chaos and civil war.
2014-present Fight against terrorism (ISIS) Airstrikes, support for local forces in Syria and Iraq Destruction of the ISIS base, preservation of the conflict in Syria.

What's going on...?
In the last century, during the presidency of #Ronald Reagan, the #United States made great efforts to become the dominant power in the world. They started a great arms race, which allowed America to become a powerful military state, and, on the other hand, to exhaust the economy of the Soviet Union and lead to the collapse of the communist bloc. In March 1983, a long-term and large-scale program was announced to achieve military superiority in outer space (the so-called Strategic Defense Initiative, or "Star Wars" program), which aimed to economically weaken the USSR as much as possible. All this cost the Americans dearly, but the result was worth it.
But what do we see now? Constant flirting with #Russia, attempts to make cheap capital there led to the emergence of a fascist regime there. The West, led by the United States, raised a monster, more terrible than the former Soviet Union.
Russia's military aggression against #Ukraine showed that all those democratic values, which America loves to talk about so much, are worthless. It turns out that you can take a country's nuclear weapons in exchange for security guarantees, but then forget your promises. You can demand from a country that is fighting for independence to give its land to the invader. You can issue ultimatums to the injured party, not the invader. You can demand from Ukraine mineral resources worth 500 billion dollars, without providing even a tenth of that amount of aid.
You can write a lot more, but I will ask: how can you turn from a great America into an ordinary usurer, for whom there is no morality, and the main thing is only money?
