Sparks – The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte
The title of this reminds me of opening the boutique hungover many a Sunday with my latte from the Italian cafe across the street. I saw Sparks live when they recently toured on the release of this album and the main tracks from it sounded killer live. But I’m not so sure about the rest of the album. Maybe it’s the over the top string arrangements, or that this vinyl pressing sounds really quiet for some reason, or it just sounded better live. Maybe this will be a grower.
