On the Cross-hairs of this Israeli OSINT firm: Gays and Protesters

Leaked documents revealing that #CyberGlobes, a small #OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) firm based at the National Cyber Park in Beer Sheva, #Israel, helped authoritarian regimes collect intelligence on activists, dissidents, political opponents, and #LGBTQ+ individuals - without hacking any device, purely based on publicly available social media data.
Client list include Saudi Arabia, UAE, Morocco, Angola, Indonesia, Bangladesh, the US, Norway, Finland, Japan, Netherlands, and Poland.

Nigeria: CyberGlobes analyst Mark Leiba ran searches on participants in Nigeria's August 2024 protests against high cost of living (where 24+ were killed and 1,200+ arrested).

Indonesia: The company helped Indonesian government officials identify and map LGBTQ+ community members, suggesting search keywords like "gay, drag queen, BDSM" and advising them to analyze the Facebook profiles of LGBTQ+ activists. In Indonesia, such individuals face arrest and public caning.

Mozambique: After disputed 2024 elections sparked mass protests (315+ killed), CyberGlobes ran facial recognition and darknet breach searches on opposition leader Vitano Singano (later kidnapped in July 2025, fate unknown).

Rwanda & Kuwait: Tracked dissident bloggers - "Robert Gakwerere" (anti-Kagame) and Fawaz al-Khuraiti (anti-Kuwaiti government). The latter lost his citizenship mid-2025.

Aryeh Lightstone (#Trump advisor): CyberGlobes searched his personal email addresses and attempted to retrieve his private passwords from darknet breach databases.

Environmental activists: Tracked Extinction Rebellion (Czech Republic), Greenpeace Slovenia, and nuclear regulators in the US and Canada.

NSO Group partnership: CyberGlobes previously worked alongside #NSO (maker of Pegasus spyware) in combined sales - "Before you hack someone's phone, you need to know whose phone to hack."

Fake accounts: The company maintained a system of fake personas/avatars to infiltrate closed Facebook groups, and purchased data from third-party sources.
