A new generation of baristas, coffee shops and roasters has finally arrived in Italy – the home of espresso and coffee machines. We have become highly skilled at creating technological masterpieces, but not at brewing and savouring this marvellous drink – a paradox.
The first espresso machine was patented by Angelo Moriondo of Turin on 16 May 1884 and presented at the Turin General Exhibition.
