“Trans people are not invisible,” she said. “Trans people deserve love, the queer community deserves to be lifted up. Music is love. Thank you.”
Gaga’s remarks come in the wake of a slew of executive orders and bureaucratic vitriol coming from the Trump administration attacking trans rights, kids, and healthcare. In just the first weeks of his presidency, Trump signed an executive order paving the way to ban trans people from the military, another attacking trans kids and educators, and other sweeping efforts to invisibilize or deny trans people basic rights."
